Kinship Project (2006)

Interactive Installation/Project, with L.Spoelstra, University of Utrecht (NL)

The project is a mixture of installation, performance and theatre: a photo studio for creating family portraits in which the randomly present visitors are put together into a family portrait. A digital photo is taken from changing groups of visitors, which is printed out on site and placed on the steps of the entrance hall of the university building in succession. Each family photo is also hung up in the room in large format. In three days, a gallery with an estimated 40 to 60 family pictures is created as a contemporary variant of the "Family of Man".
