A myth on the Solomon Islands tells that the soul of a deceased comes to "Totomanu", the river of "living water". She baths herself in it and thereby changes into a real spirit of death.
In the video installation "Totomanu", images are created across the border between life and death. In this area, causal thinking ends and images are created. Old pictures about crossing the border between the worlds, which in many cultures is marked by a river.
